Q&A from Quora – “What is the most depressing anime scene you have ever seen?”

The most depressing anime scene had to be in Death Note.

First of all, this anime was a masterpiece. It was brilliant, original, intriguing and vicious! And, there were many scenes that surprised me to the point of depressing over it. If you think about it in a sense of the whole anime being around Kira vs L, it is not easy to pick a side since everyone likes both characters. So obviously many deaths were tragic!

The most depressing scene, for me, came at end. When everybody was at the warehouse and discovered Kira’s true identity. He had been defeated, exposed and had no way out. He was lying on the ground, crying and shouting, and could not believe his situation. Power corrupted him. He could not accept defeat. And there is nothing more pitiful and depressing then not knowing when you have lost.

To watch a character, who you admired and hated, pass the point of embarrassment and humiliation like that is impressive. And, the scene lasted for a couple of minutes to intensify this effect.

Q&A – “What is one movie that will always be known as a classic?” from Quora

There seems to be some semantically (or is it grammatically?…) wrong with the question. I don’t care 🙂

“Great question.

I don’t know what movie will always be regarded as a classic per say. But when I was thinking about your question some movies popped into my head… my classics:

What Women Want w/ Mel Gibson, Helen Hunt

  • I grew up watching this movie. It was the “after Sunday lunch” classic movie. It was broadcasted often on the national channels and, back then, there weren’t 2000 streaming sites with every possible movie at the click of a button. This one, I can assure you, is a very funny, laidback and entertaining comedy for the ages.Mel-Gibson
The Intouchables w/ Francois Cluzet, Omar Sy
  • I think this is one of those movies that disarms you. Actually grows on you… Rare feelings of compassion, pride and joy are easy to come by while watching. But most of all it reminds us how completely different people can come together, depend on each other and develop a lifelong friendship!the_intouchables

Meet Joe Black w/ Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Claire Forlani

  • My favorite all-time romance. In a conversation, I have realized this movie isn’t as popular as I thought. Nonetheless, I loved this romance, I loved the big plot behind it and I loved the cast. You could say this movie impressed me to death :)))) (What do you think of this movie btw?)jow

Hercule Poirot is a world-class detective who is the star of more than 40 Agatha Christie’s books. The Tv Show is from 1989–200# so the first episodes are “slower paced” and might not be as flashy as Sherlock’s (I love Sherlock btw, just trying to explain a point of view) but the criminals and the crimes are fantastic! Poirot (and Agatha Christie) is simply a genius!

BTW (Murder on the Orient Express (2017) w/ Johnny Depp (in theatres Wednesday, ty IMDB) is a remake of one of Agatha Christie’s most famous Poirot cases! Can’t wait to see it!

Sorry for the 4 options instead of 1. Got excited 🙂
